After two years, Boeing overtakes Airbus in 2020.

Boeing was able, for the first time since mid-2018, to deliver more aircraft than its archrival Airbus, during the first three months of this year, according to the agency. bloomberg.

Boeing said Tuesday in a statement that it delivered 130 aircraft in the first quarter, up 37 percent from last year.

On the other hand, Airbus said, on Tuesday, that it had delivered 127 aircraft, down nine percent from last year, as it faced a shortage of some parts.

Boeing shipped 64 aircraft in March, including 53 737s, and the American aircraft company recorded 60 new orders, compared to 22 cancellations for this month.

Airbus, the world’s largest commercial aircraft maker, headquartered in France, delivered 61 aircraft in March.

Airbus said total sales for the first quarter amounted to 142 aircraft, after the cancellations.

The European planemaker posted a slow start to the current year in January, delivering just 20 planes, and cited supply chain constraints hampering production.
