In various cities of the country, the service of X has been closed for the last 2 days, users are facing problems in accessing the social media platform.
X’s service has been down since February 17 at 10 p.m. The social media platform’s outage is causing problems for users to view tweets and new posts.
Also, users cannot tweet or upload videos on X.
No official statement has been issued by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) even though the users have been facing difficulties in accessing the platform for the past two days.
Yesterday, NetBlocks, an organization that monitors Internet issues around the world, including Pakistan, confirmed it and said that “users are facing difficulties in accessing X during protests and chaos across Pakistan.”
Additionally, cyber security watchdog NetBlocks has also confirmed the shutdown of the X service citing ‘LiveMetrix’.
It should be remembered that the closure of X came at a time when the allegations of alleged election rigging by Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta came to light.
Earlier, during the general elections held in the country on February 8, Pakistan was facing shutdown of internet and social media platforms.
Meanwhile, mobile phone service was also shut down in the country ‘due to security concerns’, thousands of users faced difficulties in tweeting and viewing new tweets due to X service shutdown.
