Karel Gott proudly looks down from the sky. The smiles on the faces of Ivana Gottová and Charlotte and Nelly’s daughters, who are growing into beauty, must have pleased him. However, not all days in life are illuminated by the sun, the widow of the Master spoke about preparations for worse times.
At Monday’s premiere of the documentary Karel about the achievements of the eternal Slavík in the Prague Slavonic House, a Czech cream gathered. There was perhaps no one whose name means something in the world of show business. And they were dominated by Ivana Gottová and her daughters Charlotte and Nelly.
“It was a rare and extraordinary event for me,” confided Gott.
Two years have passed since the death of the legendary singer, and it is clear that the wound in the hearts of the most important women of his life cannot yet be healed. Ivana herself admitted that they missed Karel very much. The Master would be all the more proud of how confidently and with nobility they managed the ceremonial screening of the long-awaited film.
“I was glad that a large number of Charles’ friends and colleagues arrived and I was able to gradually welcome them together with the whole team in all halls of the Slavonic House,” the widow continued.
It remains a sad fact that there is not always a reason to smile, and Ivana obviously knows it well.
“With concise words from Karel from his autobiography: Such rare and beautiful moments with friends will remain in my memories and heart forever. These were exactly the moments one would lock in one’s heart for worse. “ Gott concluded.
