The BBC has said it will not resume filming the latest series of “Top Gear” after presenter Freddie Flintoff was injured in an accident last December.

She explained that she had completed the investigation into the accident, which occurred at the Top Gear test track at Dunsfold Park Airport in Surrey last December.
“We have sincerely apologized to Freddie and will continue to support him in his recovery. In the circumstances, we feel it would be inappropriate to resume production of Series 34 of Top Gear at this time.”
“We understand that this will be disappointing for the fans, but it is the right thing to do,” she said.
The newspaper reportedGuardianOn Thursday, Flintoff, who joined Top Gear in 2019, was airlifted to hospital on December 13 after his Morgan Super 3 three-wheeler overturned and slid along the track when he was driving at high speed. The passenger seat is wearing a helmet, and Flintoff has suffered facial injuries and broken ribs.
And the newspaper pointed out that “filming of the program stopped and has not been resumed since then.”
