After the presentation of the Mi 11, Xiaomi should still present the Mi 11 Pro

This year Xiaomi has decided to get ahead of all other Android smartphone manufacturers by presenting its new high-end smartphone before the end of the year. This week, the Chinese brand presented the Mi 11 in China. It is the first smartphone to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 888 processor, which is expected to equip most of the iPhone 12’s competitors in 2021.

On the other hand, for the moment, Xiaomi has not yet presented or mentioned the Mi 11 Pro. However, this “Pro” version of the Mi 11, which should have a better spec sheet, would be fine in the pipes.

And if at the moment it is not yet known when Xiaomi will present the Mi 11 Pro, rumors are already circulating about this device. Recently, the Android Authority site also relayed new information from Digital Chat Station (a Chinese source) about this “Pro” version of the Mi 11.

This source would have indicated that the Mi 11 Pro should have the same screen as the Mi 11. As a reminder, the latter has an OLED type screen with a QHD + resolution, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus glass and the front camera is placed there on a small bubble.

But of course, if the Mi 11 Pro would therefore have the same screen as the Mi 11, we expect this Pro model to be better compared to the standard version, in other respects. Xiaomi could, for example, equip the Mi 11 Pro with a better combination of cameras, a better fast charging system and more features, in order to justify the price difference.

Mi 11: the release date in Europe is still unknown

As the Mi 11 has only been presented in China yet, Xiaomi should soon make a second presentation intended for the rest of the world. And it is during this second presentation that we should know the price and the release date of the device in Europe.

Otherwise, during this Chinese presentation, Xiaomi announced that it will also be removing the charger from certain packaging to protect the environment. Nevertheless, the brand has imagined a device different from that of Apple.

Indeed, Xiaomi plans to offer versions without a charger in the box and versions that will be delivered with this charger (but the price does not change), for people who need it. The manufacturer could offer the same system when it launches the Mi 11 in Europe.
