After the pre-season test, Valentino Rossi still encountered this obstacle at Yamaha

Valentino Rossi have finished the pre-season test MotoGP together Petronas Yamaha SRT. The Doctor is still having this problem.

Two pre-season tests have been held in Losail, Qatar, on 7-8 March 2021. As a result, Rossi has not been able to break into the top 10 positions.

On the first day, Aleix Espargaro was the fastest with a record time of 1 minute 54.687 seconds. Rossi finished 13th with a score 0.897 seconds slower than the Aprilia rider.

Meanwhile, on the second day, Rossi achieved even worse results. He is in 20th position with a time of 1 minute 55.708 seconds.

Still having trouble during the test, Rossi also compared the Yamaha motorbike ride this time with last season. Last season, Rossi only won the podium once when he finished third in the Andalusian MotoGP, still continuing to fast for victory.

“We tried several different things, but we did not find a good solution. So in the end it was difficult,” said Rossi on Motorsport.

“We struggled especially in acceleration because I didn’t have a grip up front.”

“We try to use the bike with the suit we tried in the last two days. But, now we have to check the data and try to be ready and more competitive for the next test.”

“Today, we continue to use both chassis. But my impression is, in the end it is the same as last year’s bike.”

“No, it’s not like the 2019 chassis. It’s between the two, but when I ride it, I feel very, very similar to (the bike) in 2020,” he said. Rossi add.
