Minister of Youth and Sports (Minister of Youth and Sports) Dito Ariotedjo hopes that the Ministry of Youth and Sports will return to lead the Heritage Flag Raising Groups (Paskibraka). This was done so that the polemic regarding the ban on the use of the hijab by Paskibraka members would not be repeated.

According to Dito, President Jokowi was approached about the dialogue for the Ministry of Youth and Sports to return to managing Paskibraka. Tupoksi said Ministry of Youth and Sports in accordance with the Paskibraka management work.

“Actually, for some time now I have been talking to our leader, Mr. President, because of what? The polemic about the Paskibraka election management has been busy since this recruitment,” said Dito at the Golkar Party DPP, West Jakarta, Sunday (18/8/2024).

“We are asking that maybe in the future it would be better if this Paskibraka, this could return to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, because what? This is one of the instruments and also one of the forums where the younger generation has problems with. character building and indeed that is the right main task for the Ministry of Youth and Sports,” he said.

Furthermore, Dito does not know when Paskibraka’s management moved from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to the Pancasila Ideology Management Group or BPIP.

“I don’t know, but as far as I know it happened after Ms Mega became the Chairman of the BPIP Board, that’s all I know, but I don’t know the details, you can ask the -authorities directly,” he said. said.

He also hopes that the polemic regarding the ban on the use of the scarf by Paskibraka members will not be repeated.

“We hope it can be used as an assessment for the future, yes, the name is also Paskibraka. Its relevance can be seen from the 1st grade of high school or from the 2nd high school, usually, and it must have a high awareness and awareness among young people. people,” he said.

It is known that the loophole of banning the use of the scarf by members of Paskibraka was widely discussed when troops were deployed ahead of the 79th Anniversary Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital of the archipelago (IKN) . There were 18 female Paskibraka members who did not wear the hijab at the inauguration ceremony, even though they wore the hijab when they went to school.

After being in the public eye, the Chairman of BPIP, Yudian Wahyudi, apologized. Paskibraka members are allowed to wear the hijab while on duty at the 79th Anniversary Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia.
