On Monday, the military said about five North Korean drones were detected in various parts of South Korea, including near Gyodong Island and between the cities of Gimpo and Paju.
One light military aircraft was lost during the response. The drone strike lasted for seven hours, according to local media.
President Yoon has promised to speed up the formation of drone units, which are expected to carry out reconnaissance operations against North Korea. “It will be deployed as much as possible,” he promised.
