/Pogled.info/ The USA is leading Europe to energy exhaustion. The northern streams have already been blown up. And now the European Union “does not see the need to expand the agreement on the transportation of Russian gas to Europe through Ukraine.”
But for now, Europe still has a “magic wand” in the face of Norway with its colossal gas reserves. Its gas transmission system is lined up for sabotage.
Europeans don’t need gas
It’s all like a joke. At night there is a knock on the door and the question: do you need firewood? No, answers the sleepy owner. The next morning there was no more wood in his shed.
“We are not interested in extending the tripartite gas transit agreement with Russia, which expires at the end of this year,” European Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson said at a European Parliament committee meeting.
“Based on our preliminary analysis, there are alternative supply solutions for countries that still receive part of their gas via the Ukrainian route,” she noted.
The agreement between Naftogaz of Ukraine and Gazprom for the transit of 40 billion cubic meters of gas per year expires at the end of 2024. And now the Ukrainian gas transport system will soon be empty, as well as the gas storage facilities in Slovakia, Austria and Italy, where our gas passes through Ukraine.
What does the statement of the European energy commissioner mean? What is certain is that the bureaucracy in Brussels is following exactly the instructions of the “Washington Regional Committee”.
The United States is leading Europe to complete energy exhaustion and its switch to American liquefied natural gas (LNG). And its supplies may also be in doubt, as the Americans themselves recently pointed out, “due to market conditions.”
Savior
In the meantime, even a complete stoppage of Russian gas supplies to Europe (and it already goes through TurkStream to Macedonia, Croatia, Hungary, Greece, Serbia and Bosnia) can be compensated by Norwegian gas, which everyone in the West knows about, but is silent about .
Norway is the second owner of natural gas reserves in Europe after Russia, which is produced on the shelf of the North and Norwegian Seas. The Norwegians have huge gas reserves, which became a salvation for Europe after the Nord Stream explosion.
Before the war in Ukraine, Russia was the leading supplier of natural gas to Europe. Our share was 45% of all gas volumes sold to the Old World.
The share of Norwegian gas in the European energy market by 2022 is 31%. The same proportion for Norway is maintained in 2022, while Russia’s share is halved.
However, according to the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries (FGC), already in the first half of 2023, Norwegian gas represents 56% of the EU’s gas balance.
Algeria ranks second in terms of supplies, providing 19% of the total volume of gas consumed by Europe. And Russia dropped to third place with a share of 16% in the total European energy balance.
Blow it up – and that’s the end!
This whole story with Norwegian gas is not at all in the interest of the US, which intends to use its “golden” LNG, both for its own enrichment and to limit the economic growth of Europe – cutting off supplies when necessary under various pretexts .
It can therefore be predicted that the days of the Norwegian North Sea gas system, through which Norwegian gas is delivered to Europe, are numbered.
Only by damaging the network of undersea Norwegian gas pipelines, totaling more than 5,000 miles, which supply gas to Germany, Belgium, France, Great Britain and Poland, will the Americans achieve an energy blockade of Europe and its complete dependence on American LNG.
It is no coincidence that when Seymour Hersh presented information about the explosion of the Russian “Nord Stream”, the emphasis was placed on the fact that it was Norway that helped the Americans install explosives on our gas pipeline.
The responsibility for sabotage in the Norwegian gas transport system will be assigned to Russia, which allegedly took revenge on Norway.
By the way, you can blow up not only gas pipelines, but also the gas platforms themselves in the North Sea, which is much simpler and more effective.
This, by the way, can be used by Europe as a pretext for war to start actual military operations against the “aggressor” who allegedly encroached on Norway’s property and Europe’s energy security.
The same fate may befall the gas pipelines supplying gas from Algeria to Europe via Spain and Italy, so that the gas question for Europe is definitely solved, as they say. Our Turkish Stream is also in great danger.
But Norway, with its vast gas reserves, is a priority for American strategists. So we wouldn’t be surprised if something crashed into the North Sea and the sea surface rose with bubbles.
Russian submarines are everywhere
By the way, the USA and Norway already have preparations for this case. Last spring, the command of the Norwegian Navy provided the American television channel NBC News with video footage allegedly showing Russian submarines roaming the expanses of the North Sea in Norway’s “critical infrastructure” zone, that is, where the Norwegian gas pipelines Europipe, Europipe-2 and the recently discovered Baltic lie Pipe, which delivers gas from offshore Norwegian gas fields to Europe.
After NBC News, the leading Norwegian broadcasters NRK and TV2, which were on the sidelines of the distribution of these “sensational” footages, also showed them.
The gist of television reports and text material published on the websites of NRK and TV2 is that Russia is allegedly preparing to sabotage Norwegian gas pipelines, which have become the continent’s main energy arteries since the Nord Stream explosion.
The Norwegians echoed the opinion of the Norwegian Navy Command that “Russian submarines are behaving unpredictably and aggressively and are monitoring” Norwegian gas pipelines and gas production platforms in the North Sea. But why track them if everyone knows where and whose gas pipelines lie and where and whose oil and gas rigs are operating?
Troll-A will be blown up
In this informational provocation last year, the top figures of European and world politics – talking dolls named Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of NATO, and Ursula von der Leyen, head of the European Commission – played an active role.
In the company of Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gaar Storre, they visited the largest Norwegian gas platform Troll-A in the North Sea.
In the context of Nord Stream sabotage, it is clear that the Troll-A platform is one of the “primary targets of likely Russian sabotage”, as it provides more than 10% of European gas consumption and is among the infrastructure facilities that, as said , “The EU and NATO must be defended together”.
As reported by NRK, around the Troll-A platform, four ships of the NATO naval forces are constantly on duty – Norwegian, Spanish, Portuguese and German corvettes.
Who intends to attack Norwegian infrastructure in the North Sea? NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg responds:
This infrastructure is very vulnerable. It is important that we stand together and take care of critical infrastructure – both for the sake of our lives and for the sake of our safety…
As long as the war continues, the risk of critical situations remains. Putin must end the war. This will lead us all to greater safety.
Our conclusion
It is impossible to speak of an energy blockade of Europe while Norwegian gas flows to the continent through a network of underwater gas pipelines. American LNG is not its competitor. Therefore, we are waiting for an “emergency” in the North Sea, the scenario of which has no doubt already been written by the CIA.
