One can safely say that Linköping mixes between high and low – not least in the last week.
Or what about 4-0 at home against Leksand, 0-7 away against Malmö and 3-0 at home against Skellefteå?
– I understand that people wonder how it can differ so much between the matches and I actually have no sensible answer why we were so passive against Malmö. Both against Leksand and now against Skellefteå, we were aggressive and fast from the start and really fought for each other for 60 minutes, says Marcus Högberg.
Very stable
When needed, the 195-centimeter goalkeeper stepped forward as the bastard he is and lined up high-class parades. Not least at the end of the second and third period, when Skellefteå pressed to try to catch up with the two-goal deficit.
– I am clearly satisfied with my effort, nice to come back immediately after letting in seven pucks last time. It really was not fun. At the same time I got really good help from the other players to cover pucks, they tore incredibly well. We learned from the cash match against Malmö and played at the same level as against Leksand.
The LHC had a tough task and maybe one or two ghosts in front of them – the team had not produced a single goal against Skellefteå in three meetings earlier this season. The goal difference in the trio of losses was 0-11.
Add the exposed position – where only profit applied to the table eleven, so as not to risk being involved in the bottom battle in earnest.
Hit the playoffs
