After the Israeli-Palestinian Armistice, Hundreds of Jewish Settlers Forced Entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque

JERUSALEM, KOMPAS.TVThe conditions at the Al-aqsa Mosque are still tense even though Israel and Palestine have agreed to a ceasefire.

Hundreds of settlers reportedly tried to force their way into the courtyard of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sunday (23/4/2021).

It is estimated that more than 253 Jewish settlers tried to enter the grounds of the al-Aqsa Mosque with protection from Israeli soldiers.

At that time the Israeli army arrested four employees of the al-Aqsa Mosque, along with three youths, two of whom were later released.

An eye witness told Anadolu Agency that Israeli police detained Palestinian youths from entering the al-Aqsa Mosque area since dawn.

In the West Bank, Palestinian soldiers have also arrested 23 Palestinians since Saturday (22/5/2021).
