After the inflation data, the mood in the stock markets has deteriorated thoroughly

European stock markets are trying to rise after the opening, with the DAX up 0.1 per cent, the CAC up 0.2 per cent and the FTSE 100 up 0.2 per cent. The Milan stock market also rose 0.4 percent, while the Spanish stock market rose 0.3 percent. Investors on both sides of the Atlantic are looking forward to the release of the latest U.S. consumer price index today, amid concerns that high inflation is forcing the Fed to raise interest rates earlier than expected. U.S. producer price inflation was 8.6 percent year-on-year and core inflation 6.8 percent, nearly nearly as high as in the past 10 years, according to data released Tuesday.
