A source at the Ministry of Local Development confirmed that there is no increase in transportation fares after raising gasoline prices, as of dawn today, Thursday, March 2, 2023.
The source told Masrawy, on Thursday, that the transportation fare prices are the same without an increase and were not affected by the increase in gasoline prices.
The source pointed out that transportation fare prices are affected in one case, which is raising diesel prices, while the decision to increase gasoline prices included fixing the selling price of diesel at 7.25 pounds per liter.
The source added that the monitoring and inspection campaigns on the markets will be intensified in order to control any attempts to exploit the matter and increase the fare in violation.
