The Ministry of Health and Population decided to stop all leave for medical staff in all hospitals, units, and their affiliated bodies.
This came according to the letter sent by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, head of the sector of the Minister of Health’s office, to the assistants and advisors of the Minister of Health, heads of sectors and bodies affiliated with the ministry, and directors of health affairs directorates in all governorates, and obtained by Masrawy.
The letter stressed the commitment to raising the efficiency of medical staff, equipment and medical supplies, and raising the level of readiness in all hospitals.
According to the letter, this comes in light of the Ministry of Health’s continuous follow-up of the epidemiological situation of the emerging corona virus, and taking all preventive and precautionary measures in this regard.
The number of daily Corona injuries and deaths has increased in Egypt since late last month; Yesterday, the Ministry of Health registered 664 new positive cases and 29 deaths; This brings the total number that was registered in Egypt until Sunday, to 125,555 positive cases, including 106,817 cases that have been cured, and 7,098 deaths.
