Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš (JV) said the government on Tuesday plans to look at the question of how to organize life in an epidemiologically safe or “green regime” after the house session or from November 15.

The Prime Minister informed that after the meeting, there will be more opportunities to receive services against Covid-19 vaccinees, but concrete proposals are currently being developed by the Operational Steering Group. However, he admitted that the new requirements for a home meeting will apply equally to the whole of Latvia.

Minister of Education and Science Anita Mužniece (JKP) said that the government, when thinking about life after the household, must act consistently and stick to the previously promised that students will be able to study in person.

“Education in the country is a strategically important service, so it is a pleasure that pupils and students will be able to return to full-time education and training. Distance, hygiene, ventilation in early December, “said the Minister.

The landlord also admitted that after the home session, students could gradually return to interest education classes, as well as a pilot project for indoor sports activities could be introduced.

The Minister of Economy Jānis Vitenbergs (NA) informed that so far an agreement has been reached on more freedom in the organization of street trade, which is especially important for craftsmen and home producers during the holidays. At the same time, experts are still discussing how to organize trade after the meeting.

The Minister informed about Ministry of Economy a call for trading venues to be allowed to operate in “green mode” regardless of the day of the week. In turn, the political force represented by Wittenberg calls for finding an opportunity to allow a large family to be at the same table in public catering. He explained that the possibility of allowing four people to be at the same table was being discussed, thus excluding, for example, the possibility of a large family being at the same table.

Wittenberg also referred to the concerns expressed by entrepreneurs about vaccinated employees who have been identified as contact persons. “There are more and more of these people – if someone in the workshop gets sick, the others become contacts and work is restricted,” the minister said, adding that experts were currently discussing allowing vaccinated contacts to work if they tested negative for Covid-19.

Already reported last week Cabinet of Ministers discussed the proposals of the Operational Steering Group for post-session life, available to Covid-19 vaccinees or patients with the disease. At the same time, it is proposed to maintain certain restrictions for all residents, which are intended to reduce the opportunities for gatherings.

It has already been reported that in order to limit the spread of Covid-19 and relieve hospitals in Latvia from October 21 to November 15, stricter epidemiological safety measures are in place or home sitting.
