There will be lightning and thunder over Hamburg on Wednesday – according to the German Weather Service (DWD), the weather in the north will not improve until Thursday.
After the past two hot and humid days, the DWD has predicted thunderstorms and heavy showers for Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. The thunderstorms are expected to be strong with increasing cloud cover, in some cases even with the risk of severe weather. There was already a lot of thunderstorms in and around Hamburg early in the morning, and there was also heavy rain.
Weather in Hamburg: Only on Thursday will it be nicer
The maximum temperature on Thursday will be 23 degrees on the west coast and 29 degrees on the border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

According to the DWD, there will be some heavy thunderstorms moving northwards until Thursday night. Temperatures are expected to drop to 16 to 20 degrees.
On Thursday it will be dry. The highest temperatures will be around 26 degrees on the islands, in Hamburg it will probably be up to 30 degrees. On Friday it will be mostly sunny and rain-free with highs between 24 degrees on the Baltic Sea and 29 degrees in Hamburg. (mp)
