The first day of the Hungarian ERC rally was over, in which the athletes had to complete six special stages. After the three stages of the first lap, the leader was Nikolai Gryazin, who lost 7.2 seconds to the talented Czech athlete Erik Cais. Unfortunately, two unsuccessful Norwegian drivers Mads Ostberg and Andreas Mikelsen succumbed to the unsuccessful morning action. While Mikelsen was struggling with engine problems, Ostberg experienced a dangerous moment at a speed of about 180 km / h, after which the athlete arrived in a ditch where valuable seconds were lost.

After the service park in the fifth dopa was very fast Cais, who took the lead in the rally, but not for long. Unfortunately, in the next dopa, the Czech rider broke the wheel and lost more than two minutes. This allowed Grjazin to take over, who is thus the leader after the first day. The second is the host Norbert Hercig. In the last stage of the day, taking third place at that time, Mikelsen broke the wheel. In addition to him, several riders noticed a change of wheels on the first day.

Unfortunately, this rally turned out to be sad for Nil Solan, who had to start in this rally with the new “Hyundai i20 N Rally2” from the “MRF Tires” team. The athlete did not go to the start of the first stage yesterday due to technical problems, and unfortunately the athlete did not go to the track on Saturday.

On the final day of the rally, the athletes will have to complete seven stages.
