It is finally done. As far as is known, the fox, who has been hanging around Bellevue Palace for months, did not steal any goose in the Hansaviertel and the surrounding area on the holidays. And now he has also been given a presidential name.
Because Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is a good host, and not just for queens and presidents, he personally took on the search for a name. More than 10,000 animal lovers responded to his call on Instagram to get involved creatively. There were even handwritten suggestions.
In the end it didn’t become Mustafa, and neither did Reineke. Steinmeier decided on Theo after the first Federal President Theodor Heuss.
Because Theo is a wild animal and goes on the hunt, he is not fed by the Federal President’s team, but was caught catching grain from the bird feeder. This did not detract from his popularity. If the castle fox continues to collect so many hearts on Instagram, he may soon become the first influencer fox.
