After the fatal dinghy accident: HPE now wants money from Mike Lynch’s widow

Shortly before his fatal yachting accident, British entrepreneur Mike Lynch was acquitted in San Francisco on charges of defrauding Hewlett-Packard. But the US company does not give – and demands compensation from his widow.

It has been two and a half weeks since British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch died in his yacht, which sank to the seabed 50 meters deep off Sicily in an unusually strong storm. Six others died, including his 18-year-old daughter. Not all victims drowned; at least two of the passengers survived underwater in an air bubble in the boat’s cabins, but suffocated when their oxygen ran out. Guard reported Thursday. No water was found in the bodies’ lungs. The other 15 people on board were rescued, including Lynch’s wife.
