After a totally failed VI Nations tournament, England returned to the USA for a test match at Twickenham. Well into their meeting, the English quickly took the advantage thanks to four tries scored by Underhill (6th), Lawrence (14th) and Cokanasiga (23rd and 30th). In front with 23 points ahead at the break (26-3), the XV de la Rose was much less dominant during the second period. Thus, the Americans won the last 40 minutes on the score 26 to 17, well helped by the tests of Fa’anana Schultz (41st), Dolan (57th), Germishuys (73rd) then Dyer (77th). Despite everything, it is the English who win (43-29), with a workforce that included many players who discovered the selection. They will face Canada on July 10.
