On Sunday, host nation England won the European Football Championship, after defeating Germany in the final at Wembley 2-1. The country thus secured its first title on the women’s side, and that success has now given birth to more flavor.
The English Football Association has previously announced that it is planning a match against the USA in October, at Wembley, to pit the reigning European champions against the reigning world champions – and on Wednesday the association confirmed that tickets for that match are already sold out. The only tickets left for sale now are lounge tickets.
The match is scheduled for Friday, October 7.
