BALI, KOMPAS.TV – The search for KRI Nanggala-402 has been increasingly carried out by the Indonesian Navy assisted by a joint team from Basarnas and Polri.
The focus of the search is the location of the oil spill and the finding of a large magnetic force in the waters of North Bali.
Saturday (24/04) afternoon, KRI Suharso 990, who is also the Floating Hospital belonging to the Navy, sailed back from Tanjung Wangi Port, to the northern waters of Bali, which is thought to be the location of KRI Nanggala-402, which had lost contact since last Wednesday (21/04).
Next, KRI Oswald Siahaan 354 followed to search.
KRI Oswald previously transported aid for victims of flash floods and landslides in East Nusa Tenggara.
Apart from KRI Suharso and KRI Oswald Siahaan, other ships that were deployed to search for KRI Nanggala-402 were KRI Singa and KRI Pulau Rimau.
KRI Singa is a ship with anti-submarine combat capabilities equipped with a sophisticated radar sensing system, as well as weapons to destroy submarines.
Meanwhile, the KRI Pulau Rimau is a warship whose function is to sweep mines in the sea which in this search clears obstructing objects around the location.
Meanwhile a team of divers was alerted to search for KRI Nangggala-402.
There are 28 Marine divers from Surabaya on standby and 14 of them are already at Tanjung Wangi Harbor, Banyuwangi.
They are on standby along with their diving equipment and rubber boats.
Apart from ships, two mobile chambers belonging to the Navy were also alerted in the Tanjung Wangi Port area.
The function of the mobile chamber is to restore energy and at the same time avoid decompressing the KRI Nanggala crew when they are found.
