The Westtermair couple made the difficult decision to close their popular business at the end of September. “Due to the current reality, which is liquidating us radically and infallibly (incoming prices: energy, gas, food, etc.), our family restaurant announces the end of the business. However, the unfortunate events did not end sadly due to the disappearance of the honest home cooking restaurant. The owner and renowned chef himself did not live to see the restaurant close completely at the age of sixty-one. “My unique and irreplaceable man, whom I have unconditionally loved and respected for his pure soul, firm character, professionalism, generosity and kindness, is dead. In his life he has always been here exclusively for his guests” . wrote the wife of a cooking legend.
According to Westtermair, her husband’s death was also due to accumulated stress. “Apparently his heart could not bear the events of the last few years and the story ended, even though I begged him to come back”, he explained in a sensitive tone.
