Juventus fans decided to punish the carrier networks of the Italian League, following the decision to deduct 15 points from the club’s balance.
A large segment of the Juventus club fans canceled private subscriptions to TV networks carrying the Italian League competitions, in protest against the Italian Football Association’s decision to deduct 15 points from the “old lady” balance.
A judge of the Federal Court of Appeal in Italy decided to deduct 15 points from Juventus club balance in the current season of the Italian League, with immediate effect, due to the “profiteering case” and the club’s capital gain violations.
The Italian newspaper “Corriere dello Sport” confirmed that a large number of Juventus fans decided to suspend their subscriptions to the “Sky” and “DAZN” networks that carry Italian league matches, in protest of that decision.
That suspension means that carrier networks could lose 136 million euros if the number of canceled subscriptions reaches 500,000.
The interesting thing is that the number of canceled subscriptions in only one region reached 13,000 canceled subscriptions within just 24 hours, which threatens the networks carrying the Italian League and the Italian Federation as well with a lot of financial losses.
