Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited the area hit by Typhoon Maysak in the Coastal areas of South and North Hamgyong Provinces on Saturday local time (5/9/2020).
During his visit, Jong Un fired the chairman of the party in South Hanggyong Province for failing to protect the population from the typhoon and ordered no less than 12,000 core party members to recover the region from the aftermath of the disaster.
Launch reports Reuters, North Korea’s state-run KRT television posted footage of Kim meeting North Korean officials and walking in a typhoon-stricken area.

“During the meeting, he also dismissed the chairman of the party committee for South Hamyong Province and appointed a new chairman,” he explained Reuters, quoted Sunday (6/9/2020).
Typhoon Masyak hit the Korean Peninsula last Thursday (3/9/2020), at least two people were reportedly killed and thousands of residents’ houses submerged.
