Marne pharmacists have collected several tens of tons of medicines for Ukraine. After the covid-19, here they are mobilized on another front. This Thursday, March 24, a truck left Reims for kyiv, the Ukrainian capital. Others will follow.
Guillaume Froment is a pharmacist in Mourmelon-le-Grand (Marne), a town well known for its huge military camp. From the start of conflict in Ukraine, He mobilized around him 23 pharmacists and of course patients. Very modestly he specifies that “During covid-19, we did our job. People rediscovered the role of the pharmacist.” Nothing extraordinary, nothing heroic therefore for him, dismissing with these words the crucial role played by the profession of pharmacists during the health crisis.
In Reims, this Thursday March 24, 2022, he does not move away from a large white van. With inside boxes of dressings for burns, hydroalcoholic solution, medication. They will take place in the truck’s trailer, which arrived empty from Ukraine and which leaves for kyiv without an ounce of space. “Peace is a priceless treasure”adds Guillaume Froment. “We are very well in France.”

With its association Syria Solidarity Emergency, he has been mobilized for ten years to help the Syrian people.
