On Saturday, the operator of the Diexer café in Elsau ZH announced that it would open again for guests on Monday. “We have now been obedient for 3 months and have waited in vain for a relaxation of the Federal Council,” he wrote in a Facebook post.

In fact, the host opened again on Monday. How Tele Top reported around 20 people gathered in the restaurant and violated the applicable Corona rules. The Zurich canton police therefore had to move out and dissolved the meeting – the operator was reported.

But that apparently didn’t impress the innkeeper. He opened his café again on Tuesday. In the late afternoon, the Zurich canton police had to deploy again. Again around 20 people were on site. “On behalf of the health department, we forced the bar to close today,” says media spokesman Stefan Oberlin.

“Waiting in vain for the Federal Council”: This is how the café announced the civil disobedience on Saturday.

“We consciously took this risk”
During the police operation, the officers also checked the personal details of the guests. According to Oberlin, everything went smoothly. The landlord has shown himself to be cooperative. The café will remain closed until further notice, says Oberlin.

On Tuesday evening, the operator of the restaurant reported via Facebook and confirmed the forced closure. “We consciously took this risk, but we will not let it go,” they say. And: You will get in touch again in due course.

Celebrated without masks
Again and again some innkeepers oppose the closing of the restaurants and open anyway. Just about a week ago, around 90 corona skeptics celebrated in the Älpli restaurant in Gommiswald SG – without masks, without any distance.

The organizer and the landlady of the restaurant were shown. The community even threatened patent revocation. (bra)
