After the cat abuse – West Ham donates money

French national team player Kurt Zouma was fined two weeks’ salary and lost sponsors after he was filmed beating and kicking his cat.

In February, the British animal rights organization RSPCA took over custody of Kurt Zouma’s two cats.

“A total of nine organizations that support the care and welfare of animals both in the UK and internationally have been selected to receive significant payments that will go to support the fantastic work they are doing,” West Ham said in a statement.

Exactly what amount Zouma paid has not been known, but according to British media, it is about more than the equivalent of 2.8 million Swedish kronor.

Among those receiving money are local organizations and the International Fund for Animal Welfare, which is currently helping stray dogs and cats in Ukraine.

The RSPCA is trying to prosecute Zouma and his brother Yoan, who were also involved in the incident, according to the Animal Welfare Act.
