This incredible finding came to light through a DNA analysis by “23andMe,” as the “Mirror” reported. Celina and Joseph Quinones, the couple’s names, received the shocking results. Celina said on the “Love Don’t Judge” podcast: “When I realized we were cousins, I felt sick.”
TikTok Reactions: Marriage is seen as “disturbing.”
Celina, who has three children with her husband Joseph, shared the shocking news on the social media platform TikTok. The accompanying video quickly went viral, reaching millions of views before it was deleted from the platform. Despite her intention to humor the situation, Celina was unprepared for the negative comments. One TikTok user wrote: “This is so disturbing, why would you marry your cousin?”
Couple remains united despite shock
As the “Mirror” further reports, the relationship was only discovered after the marriage. The couple’s son was unenthusiastic: “It’s not something you want to talk about.” This surprising discovery inspired Celina and Joseph to create a dating platform called Before We Be. The aim of the platform is to prevent similar unpleasant surprises in other relationships.
According to the Mirror, the couple’s relationship went unnoticed for years, partly due to a lack of records and an adoption on Joseph’s side. Despite the initial shock, Celina and Joseph are determined to continue their relationship.
