TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – The Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) has summoned 10 producers cooking oilas a step to investigate the alleged cartel in the food commodity.
The 10 producers were questioned KPPU from early February to February 16, 2022.
“Currently, we are each collecting evidence, listening to information from various parties, especially producers, there are 10 producers,” said Head of the KPPU’s Public Relations and Cooperation Bureau, Deswin Nur when contacted, Saturday (19/2/2022).
However, Deswin was unable to name the producers cooking oil This is because it is still in the process of being studied.
According to him, next week KPPU will call retail players and related associations cooking oil.
“The result of the summons is still being processed by our investigator team. We will immediately inform you if there is a special update,” said Deswin.

Previously, a number of parties suspected the high price cooking oil as a result of price games by certain parties.
In fact, the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) even made a petition on Change.org as an urgent effort KPPU investigating the alleged cartel cooking oil.
