After Six Prototypes, Here’s the Final Form of the Oppo Find N Lipat Folding Phone

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Oppo teases with its first foldable smartphone product. A 15-second teaser video officially introduces the foldable phone, three years after the prototype device was launched. Will come with the name Oppo Find N, this folding phone seems to be challenging the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold.

“Oppo Find N is the result of four years of research and development from six generations of prototypes,” said Oppo in a press statement that it shared on Thursday, December 9, 2021.

In terms of shape, the foldable phone, which is rumored to be released at the Oppo Inno Day event on December 15, 2021, does have a design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold. The Oppo Find N has two OLED displays, one on the front, and one that folds inwards.

Oppo has yet to reveal the processor, display, or other specifications of the phone, apart from displaying images and videos. The included narration is a ‘beautiful’ device that feels good in the hand, and will be easy to use in both the unfolded and folded positions.

“We have also solved the problem of screen folding and durability that has been present in foldable smartphones,” Oppo claims.

The company that currently leads the foldable phone market, Samsung, is considered to need three generations to solve major problems in the Fold product line. Even then, the latest model also still needs to be improved.

Oppo has played things differently by waiting to release its first model, perhaps until it feels it has solved any major issues. “This new foldable model will be simpler in design, usable and easy to use,” said Oppo Chief Product Officer and OnePlus Founder, Pete Lau.

According to him, Oppo has created the best hinge and screen design available today. This phone also seems to have a design punch hole at least for foldable screens, which may have under-display camera technology. Videos teaser show that folding phone This latest will come with a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side.
