Arsenal already confirmed five signings this summer. With the squad now getting fatter, The Gunners indicates that it will start releasing a number of players.
Arsenal have secured five names from the transfer market so far. They are Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko who will soon be announced, as well as back-up goalkeeper Matt Turner.
With the addition of those five players, now Mikel Arteta has 32 names in his squad which is too fat for a team. Arteta also indicated that in the future management will prioritize releasing a number of players who will not be used.

The names that are expected to be on the loose list are goalkeeper Bernd Leno and midfielder Lucas Torreira. Leno has been ousted by Aaron Ramsdale since last season, while Torreira is not in Arteta’s plans and has been on loan for the last two seasons.
“We have a big squad, so we have to make decisions about the players we are not going to use consistently and be fair and frank with them,” Arteta told the club’s official website.
“It is a process that will start immediately as well. We have a big squad and now have to do something,” he added.
