New York City (USA) – After two shootings with uninvolved injuries within just two months, New York’s Times Square is said to be “flooded” with police officers, according to Mayor Bill de Blasio (60).

“We are going to flood the area around Times Square with police officers to make sure that this situation is resolved once and for all,” said de Blasio at a press conference.
“We have more and more activity there, more and more jobs are coming back, more and more tourists are coming back. They have to be safe and feel safe.”
At the square, one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions, a 21-year-old visitor was hit and injured over the weekend when a group of men quarreled nearby and one of them drew a gun and fired several times.
