Regarding the lesson she learned during the ordeal of the disease, Hayek said: “I learned patience from the experience of illness and it made me accept everything I went through and bear the pain, in addition to my great confidence in God to overcome this crisis and defeat this disease.”
She denied going to a psychiatrist during her illness to recover psychologically, and said: “The truth is, I did not think of that step, although I was going through a lot of difficult times when I was weak, but whenever I felt tired, I would resort to prayer, and this thing gave me great strength.”
And about her thinking about the step of retirement, Hayek said: “I am not currently thinking about that step, but if I find that I am unable at a specific time to give my effort to art, I will reconsider that step, and it must be recognized that art takes time and attention until it reaches the desired position.” Therefore, a balance must be struck between personal life and art.
