The Texas Senator Ted Cruz, uploaded photos of him handing out bottled water to Twitter, in what appears to be an attempt to repair the damage the scandal caused by his Holidays in cancun While Texans froze
Cruz uploaded the photos to his account Saturday afternoon with the hashtag #TexasStrong. In them, he is seen putting the bottles in a vehicle in a parking lot.
Last Wednesday, social media users shared photos of Cruz and his family at the Houston airport, from where he left for Cancun. The senator explained that his daughters asked him to travel, taking advantage of the fact that there were no classes due to the winter storm that hit Texas in recent days, which left millions without electricity or water and in freezing temperatures.
Cruz acknowledged that it was a mistake to travel to Cancun. The trip prompted calls that the senator resign from his post and, since then, he has been very active, helping and asking to investigate the underlying reasons for the blackouts that the state suffered.
