President Vladimir Putin call the president PalestineMahmoud Abbas, today, Monday (18/4), a day after Russia quipped Israel for criticizing the invasion of Ukraine.
The Russian government office said the two leaders discussed a number of issues, including peace negotiations with Ukraine to end the war.

Putin and Abbas discussed issues in Jerusalem and the West Bank as tensions in the region escalated, particularly over the weekend.

Israeli police claim, dozens of young people have gathered since 04.00 local time. The youths were said to be carrying the flags of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Hamas.
According to Israeli police, the youths threw stones and fireworks at the officers. The young man is also said to have prepared a pile of stones for a follow-up attack.
As a result of this clash, 150 people were injured. After that, the situation got hotter. Further clashes broke out on Sunday (19/4).
Amid these tensions, the Russian Foreign Ministry released a statement satirizing Israel’s behavior. The statement came after Israel’s Foreign Minister, Yair Lapid, condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
According to Russia, Israel is deliberately exaggerating the issue of the invasion of Ukraine to cover up the country’s violence against Palestinians.
