The richest man in the world, billionaire Jeff Bezos, completed a 10-minute flight to the edge of space on Tuesday. After a successful landing, he gave a thank-you speech, during which he thanked those who helped him with his trip into space.
Bezos was in space with three other people – his brother, 18-year-old Oliver Daemen and 82-year-old Wally Funk. He is the youngest and oldest man to fly from Earth into space.
“I would like to thank the people who designed and built our spacecraft, the people who prepared us for this flight and who operated the machine, and the people from the amazing little town of Van Horn who allowed us to be a part of it.” said Bezos in a cowboy hat.
“And I’d also like to thank every Amazon employee and customer, because, friends, you paid for it all,” he adds with a laugh. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really appreciate it.”
