Câmpeanu said that the teachers in whose case it was found that they were wrong in the evaluation of the works from the national exams will lose this right. According to the minister, there are dozens of teachers in the country in this situation.
The Minister of Education stated that in almost 53,000 of the 56,000 appeals submitted to the National Assessment, the grades were change. He also said that in 6,000 cases the differences between the grades were one point, but there were also cases where the differences reached 3.4 points.
“I did an exercise, in addition to the initial average, in addition to the grade resulting from the appeal I asked for a reassessment in the examination center, and then I asked for the fourth assessment at the National Assessment and Examination Center, to be done by those who created the subjects and who also created the scales. Sad conclusions, four evaluations on the same paper, four different notes in some situations, are not many, but they are, and the fact that they are is an alarm signal. He said that the topics were correctly formulated, the degree of difficulty was correctly established, and the scale was fragmented so much “that it was very difficult to make a mistake”.
“It simply came to our notice then. This means that the human factor, subjectivism, is very pronounced, it means that we need an objective correction to be made by evaluators who do not know each other and to be done automatically by software that is no longer wrong when it comes to of grid type questions “, Cîmpeanu also said.
The Minister says that in all situations where the differences were greater than two points, he requested a reassessment. “I know who were the teachers who corrected, I also saw the differences. (…) Each case will be analyzed and I assure you that at least the ban on access to exams to correct will be implemented “, said Cîmpeanu, who specified that in this situation there are several dozen teachers.
