In the Kagarlytsky district police department in the Kiev region, which a year ago “became famous” because of the scandal with the rape of a woman by cops, after re-certification, most police officers remained in their posts. It was passed by 30 out of 38 law enforcement officers.
In particular, six of them were promoted and one was fired. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Ministry of Internal Affairs) Anton Gerashchenko on air “Radio NV”.
“Recertification is not a punishment, but a test of official knowledge, whether these people are worthy to work. If two out of 43 criminals raped a woman, beat her, then they are responsible for it. But one cannot say that if one or two policemen are in the regional department is bad, then all are bad, “he explained.
According to him, at the time of the crime, 43 police officers were working in Kagarlyk, 38 had to be tested, since one was fired earlier, three were on maternity leave, and one was absent due to temporary disability.
In the Obukhov district police department, Gerashchenko added, five law enforcement officers were released after re-certification.
He noted that 400-450 policemen are brought to criminal responsibility in Ukraine during the year. At the same time, he stressed that over the year the level of violence in the police has decreased.
Recall: according to the results of an official investigation in the Kagarlytsk police station dismissed 10 employees… The head of the NPU Igor Klimenko said that after the rape scandal there also completely removed the criminal police unit… In particular, it was decided to include this site in the Obukhov branch.
