Kenny Tete has responded to Ronald Koeman’s words to him. The national coach was not happy with an interview that Tete recently gave, but the right back emphasizes that he can go through one door with Koeman.
Shortly after a crazy FA Cup match at Manchester United, Tete appeared in front of Ziggo Sport’s camera. A few days earlier it was announced that he had dropped out of the final Orange squad. “It feels, roughly speaking, as if you are playing with your balls a bit,” he said, among other things. Koeman, however, was not pleased. “If Tete shouldn’t criticize one person, it’s me.”
In conversation with Viaplay, Tete reacts coolly when asked about the situation. “I’m not saying that what Koeman said is right or wrong. Things are always said out of emotion, that’s not a bad thing at all. We are human beings and we just do that, that’s very nice. I always have a very good relationship with Koeman and enjoyed working under him very much. I understand that he has called some other guys, not me yet. Maybe that will come, maybe not. So be it.”
