Romelu Lukaku selected to be the 2019/2020 Europa League Best Player. He became the fourth player to win the award.

UEFA began introducing the Best Player of the Season Europa League award from the 2016/2017 edition. The jury itself consists of the coaches of the clubs involved in the group phase of the event, plus 55 selected journalists representing the UEFA member federation.
Paul Pogba became the first player to win the award while helping Manchester United win the Europa League in the 2016/2017 season.
One season after that, it was Antoine Griezmann’s turn to do it while defending Atletico Madrid. At that time Los Colchoneros also came out as champions of the Europa League.
In the 2018/2019 Europa League, Eden Hazard became the best player thanks to his work in helping Chelsea win the Europa League that season.
