A paramedic in Marktoberdorf was treated very badly on Saturday evening. A drunken man knocked him down and caused a riot in the ambulance until the police finally overpowered him.
Marktoberdorf – According to police reports, a heavily intoxicated 27-year-old man initially complained of pain in his arm at a party with friends in Marktoberdorf. An ambulance was called. After rescue workers wanted to drive the 27-year-old from the party to the hospital, the drunken man attacked the paramedic treating him during transport in the ambulance. He suddenly punched the paramedic in the face, knocking him to the ground.

Fortunately, the injured man managed to escape from the ambulance. The 27-year-old continued to riot in the ambulance until the police arrived. With the help of the police officers, the aggressive man was finally brought to the ground and restrained. According to the police report, he insulted the officers severely, so that he now faces charges of insult and physical assault on persons who are equivalent to law enforcement officers. The alcohol level in the perpetrator’s blood at the time of the crime was over two per mille, the police report.
