Queue buildup train passengers happened on Platform 8, Manggarai Station, South Jakarta. Residents say the buildup often occurs until someone faints.
monitoring detikcom at Manggarai Station on Thursday (26/1/2023) at 18.20 WIB or during office hours, the buildup occurred on platform 8. Namely the Jatinegara, Bekasi, and Cikarang routes.
It appears that passengers were asked to queue before getting off or going up to platform 8. A number of officers were on guard at the location.

A resident named Gilang (23) said that the accumulation of passengers often occurs on the Manggarai Station platform. According to him, the accumulation of passengers always occurs during departure and return hours.
“Can already often. Usually during working hours,” he said when met detikcom on Thursday (28/1/2023).
He was bothered by this. The reason, according to him, the accumulation of passengers can cause late boarding of the train.
“Really disturbed, afraid of being late,” he explained. “It was on a stampede. Yesterday aja until someone faints.”
He hopes there is another access so that there will be no more buildup. “This is another development. In the future it might be smoother aja,” he hoped.
In line with Gilang, another resident named Ade (43) also felt disturbed by this. He also wanted another access to platform 8.
“Yeah (disturbed). You should have gotten a train,” he explained.
“Hopefully the facilities will be added again. Maybe there is an alternative way,” he concluded.
