After more than 130 years: German mineral water company files for bankruptcy

Teusser can look back on a very long tradition. The first mention of the spa business at the spring in Teusserbad dates back to 1504. Shipping of “Teusser-Sprudel” began around 1890. According to company information, more than 100 million bottles of water, lemonade and other soft drinks are filled every year.

How things will continue for the employees is unclear. According to the insolvency administrator, the wages of the employees have been in arrears since February. The insolvency money will now be pre-financed until May. The use of an investor is planned as a solution. Apparently, initial discussions have already been held.
