After mocking Apple, Samsung could make the same “mistake”

One of the issues that has generated all kinds of comments was Apple’s decision not to include chargers or headphones in its new smartphones.

More than one analyst predicted that this movement responded to a brand strategy to boost the sales of its AirPods as well as increase the business around the rest of its accessories that would be fed with a source of charge different from the conventional one.

Before this announcement, the brand denied these assumptions, stating that the strategy has nothing to do with “making users spend more” that now they must buy these accessories separately. The concern is, according to Apple, to take care of the environment.

In this way, in the logic of the brand, by not including these peripherals in the boxes of its new products, customers are invited to reuse those that were included in iPhones of past generations.

Furthermore, this would allow the firm to reduce the size of its packaging, which would translate into space savings in storage and logistics distribution.

With this, it is expected, according to Apple, that there will be a reduction in the polluting material that is related to the production of headphones and chargers to achieve its goal of achieving zero climate impact by 2030.

In numbers, Apple is expected to avoid producing two million metric tons of carbon dioxide with this decision, which is equivalent to taking 450,000 cars off the road a year.

Although the justification of the brand may have a valid basis, the truth is that it did not convince the market or the users, which for many rivals of the brand translated into the perfect opportunity to emit a mockery of Tim Cook’s company.

One of the responses in this regard that drew attention was a 5-second video published by Xiaomi, a firm that, although it seems to be still small outside of China, has begun to gain special relevance.

A pair of hands that open a box of a Chinese brand device are the protagonists of the short, which was published on social networks with the phrase “Don’t worry, we don’t leave anything out of the box with the # Mi10TPro.” When you open the box, the only thing that can be seen is the charger box.

Samsung, Apple’s closest rival, also did not hesitate to echo this issue and from their social networks shared the image of a charger that was accompanied by the phrase “Included with your new Galaxy.” the post boasted that Samsung smartphones offer what the user is looking for, “from the most basic as a charger” to the 120 Hz screen on a smartphone.

After mocking Apple, Samsung could make the same “mistake”

After this mockery, the truth is that now Samsung could follow in Apple’s footsteps and deliver its next devices without a charger.

Since 9to5Mac, have delivered a report in which the regulatory agency ANTEL, in Brazil, approved the new Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra for sale in that country. Documentation suggests that these new models would arrive in Brazil without a charger or headphones in the box, just like Apple’s iPhone 12 models.

Although nothing is confirmed by the brand, since last July it was rumored that Samsung could make this decision and what is now read in the ANATEL report could confirm this movement.

The truth is that Brazilian authorities are considering forcing smartphone manufacturers to ship a charger with the phones, so Samsung could end up including a charger in that country regardless of its initial plans.

Nothing is said; however, the report could confirm a trend that has been reputed by Samsung. The manufacturer laughs at Apple, but ends up doing exactly the same thing; that happened with the headphone jack of smartphones.
