TVAfter 37 years, it’s almost time: on Friday 29 July the popular ‘Neighbours’ series will come to an end. It also promises to be a spectacular final episode, because a lot of old acquaintances will come along. Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan are already present, but in the meantime it became known that Margot Robbie will also be seen in the grand final.

The 32-year-old actress played the role of Donna Freedman from 2008 to 2011. Especially for the end of the show, Margot Robbie has now recorded something via Zoom. “Everyone wants to give ‘Neighbours’ a memorable ending, including Margot Robbie. When she got the call, she immediately said ‘yes’,” said a source in the British newspaper ‘The Sun’. “She couldn’t pass up the chance to be part of this historic final. She has always been very positive about the series and ‘Neighbours’ also marked the start of her film career.”

37 bottles of champagne
Unfortunately, according to the insider, Margot Robbie, who is currently busy shooting ‘Barbie’, was unable to make it to the set in Australia. “But the clip she recorded will be featured in the finale.” Robbie would have sent 37 bottles of champagne to the set, one for every year ‘Neighbours’ was on the tube.

In addition to Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Margot Robbie, several more familiar faces return in the series’ grand finale. Fans can also expect Delta Goodrem, Jesse Spencer, Holly Valance, Carla Bonner, Natalie Imbruglia and Kym Valentine. The very last episode of the series will air this Friday in the UK and Australia.
