After the knife attacks in Baden, investigations into deliberate serious bodily harm in several cases, coercion and property damage, said Erich Habitzl, spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office in Wiener Neustadt, on Friday. Application has been made to impose custody on the accused. The 19-year-old was admitted to the prison on Thursday evening.
The accused is said to have consumed alcohol prior to the offense committed. This emerged from the report by the police and the information provided by the 19-year-old, Habitzl said on request. The prosecutor ordered an examination of the man’s blood and urine.
Bloody knife attacks in Baden
The young Austrian is said to be at two crime scenes during the night on Thursday in Baden five people were injured with a knife to have. The victims are 16 to 63 years old. A relationship dispute is suspected as the motive for the crime. The ex-girlfriend (16) of the accused is said to be among the injured.
The 19-year-old, who may have inflicted cuts to his arm, was cared for on an outpatient basis, as were two victims. Three injuries were admitted to the hospital. In addition to the knife attacks, the accused is also charged with having thrown a bicycle onto two cars.
