A recent report that the Mercedes S500 gen. W220, whose first owner was one of the most famous Czech singers Karel Gott, flew around the internet a few days ago. We now know that the car has a new owner.

He was not named, but according to information from the company that mediated the sale, this man comes from the Czech Republic, is a Gotta fan and at the same time has a relationship with historic vehicles. He did not buy the car directly from Gott’s estate, there was another between the singer and the current owner, who now offered it for sale.

The car had two important artifacts – a registration certificate with Gott’s name and the original registration plate, still without the blue EU stripe on the left. The car is still equipped with this brand.

It was also advertised on the Sbazar website and the photos showed very good condition, which is also confirmed by the seller. He had traveled about 223,000 kilometers, but he received perfect care throughout his life. The price corresponded more to the person of the first owner than to the car itself – 649 thousand crowns.

The W220 generation is the fourth in the family of flagship brands of the Stuttgart brand. It was produced between 1999 and 2005. Not only elegance, but also 485 thousand pieces sold surpassed the previous third, seemingly more angular edition. Over the years, Gott has owned several other “Esk” Mercedes, including the last sixth generation W222.
