Concerning the future, the club has set seven objectives for the season which has just started: obtain, over three years, the certification of the football school; renew the silver level labeling of the women’s division; train educators and referees to raise the level and retain their loyalty; develop the women’s section; improve sponsorship; develop the infrastructure and develop the club’s Internet and external communication.

Find financial balance

Side finances, Saint-Marcel Football today faces a structural deficit. No question of being defeatist, Olivier Le Bars listed the different strategies that the club wishes to put in place in order to rebalance the finances.

A request for balancing grant in the amount of 5 000 € will be made to the town hall of Saint-Marcel. The club also plans to develop the sponsoring and to offer new products or services (refreshment bar and ticketing for derby matches), but also the organization of events (all-purpose fair or training course) with the aim of increasing revenue.

The prices of subscriptions have also been revised upwards, but the drop in the level of members does not make up for the shortfall (€7,000). On the expenditure side, it is planned to reduce non-essential expenses (around €45,000) and to better control variable costs (logistics and materials) in order to limit damage.

Establishing the balanced budget forecast is based on cost control, an increase and diversification of income and strict financial governance. These actions will not only restore cash flow but also stabilize and strengthen the financial situation in the long term.
