Oppo unveils tri-fold smartphone concept
The user interface appears to be a modified version of Oppo’s in-house ColorOS operating system, with large widgets and a prominent taskbar. While specific technical details have not been disclosed, this image gives a glimpse of the Chinese company’s foldable smartphone ambitions.
While Samsung is sticking to smartphones that fold in half for the moment, several Chinese firms are launching into these ambitious models. Huawei is preparing its own since a version was seen in the hands of the division’s CEO “consumer” Xiaomi is also getting into the race.
Oppo is not withdrawing from the foldable market
The announcement comes amid rumors that Oppo might be pulling out of the foldable smartphone market. The company has formally denied the allegations, confirming its commitment to continue developing new foldable devices.
